Presswood Pallets

Q. How strong are Presswood Pallets?
A. Presswood Pallets will carry from 250kg (1 tonne - static) for the smaller sizes, up to 1,250kg (5 tonnes - static) for the larger pallets.

Q. Can they be re-used?
A. Yes - Indeed. Their ability to nest together will also offer space savings to your customers once the pallets have been unpacked - and will save space on the return trip.

Q. We export around the world, do we need to hold special stocks of treated pallets?
A. No - In fact any new Presswood Pallet can be used to any world-wide destination - full certification is available, to our customers, on request.

Q. Can we use Presswood Pallets in racking?
A. Yes, as long as support bars; mesh in-fill or boarding is in place.

Q. We use shrink/stretch wrapping to secure the load. Will this work with Presswood Pallets?
A. Yes - The rounded corners and edges of the pallet will improve this form of packing and may even allow you to reduce the grade of wrapping.

Q. Are Presswood Pallets exempt from 'Packaging Waste' regulations?
A. Although they are not excluded, they can weigh almost 50% less than timber pallets which will help significantly to reduce your obligations.

Q. Will Presswood Pallets work in automated systems?
A. Yes - because they are a moulded product their size will remain constant which reduces the risk of down-time.

Q. Can Presswood Pallets be made in any other sizes?
A. While we can source Imperial sizes from America, there needs to be a constant annual requirement of at least 250,000 pallets to justify a special size.

Plastic Pallets

Q. Can Plastic Pallets, manufactured from recycled materials, be used in the Food or Pharmaceutical industries?
A. Yes, as long as there is no direct contact with the product.

Q. When I've looked at Plastic Pallets in the past, I have found that they are very expensive - is this still the case?
A. Not at all. Our prices range from under £3 to about £50 - but we can offer more expensive pallets if you prefer.

Q. We use timber pallets for internal storage. How will Plastic Pallets improve our system?
A. Tests have proved that Plastic Pallets last a lot longer than wooden pallets; are instantly recognisable, and are less likely to damage your products.
